Fallen Warrior Memorial Documentary (2022)

Special Forces Foundation

It all started with a charity trip - I donated, got to go on base, hang out with Green Berets, jump out of an airplane strapped to one of them and it all benefited the families of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect our nation

THE STORY

Turns out, these Green Berets are some of the smartest, most interesting and resilient human beings I’ve ever met. I never realized how much in common we’d have and I’m proud to call a few of them my close friends. When they finish their service (at the top level of the military) many go on to achieve amazing things in their personal and work lives. The Special Forces Foundation is helping families who’ve lost their spouse/parent abroad, in ways the government can’t and won’t. After over 50 years of US Special Forces, they were finally building a monument to honor the fallen and I couldn’t help myself, so I donated a documentary.

Over 2 years, I spent time with active-duty and retired Green Berets, Gold-Star families (families whose Green Beret gave the ultimate sacrifice), 2 Special Forces Generals, the monument sculptor/artist and countless others to hear their stories, why this monument was needed, what it means to them and much, much more. The documentary premiered in front of 1500 attendees (mostly Green Berets and their families) at the 50th Special Forces Gala in June 2022 with an early Pre-Screening the day before for the Special Forces Top Brass. Above is a short cut from the documentary.
